Following the AmeriCorps program model funded by the Corporation for National Community Service, the Urban League of Rochester AmeriCorps Program serves 10 low-income individuals and prepares them for college, work, and life.

The members are placed in the Urban League of Rochester’s education programs to improve educational outcomes for economically disadvantaged children in the City of Rochester. The participants will mentor and tutor at-risk youth from the Rochester community and engage in civic and community service activities.

The program will provide members with educational, professional, and personal development training and experience; a living allowance; health care coverage; and student loan deferment.
